Чи можна «прищепити» до білкової глобули «чужий» активний центр?

Abstract

Якщо білкова глобула є лише твердим «фундаментом» для активного центру, то до неї можна «прищепити» – за допомогою спрямованих точкових мутацій – і інший активний центр. У рамках цієї гіпотези вказано мутації, які потрібно ввести в лізоцим фага Т4 для надання йому протеазної активності.
