Abstract

Теломераза — рибонуклеопротеїн, який синтезує теломери, що знаходяться на кінцях лінійних хромосом і забезпечують цілісність та стабільність хромосомного апарату. Теломераза активна у стовбурових клітинах і майже не детектується в соматичних. Активність теломерази змінюється під час клітинного циклу, при диференціації клітин і корелює з їхньою проліферативною здатністю. До того ж у теломеразо-позитивних клітинах зародкової лінії вона сприяє забезпеченню гомеостазу довжини теломер. Останні дослідження глобальної зміни експресії генів у теломер них і теломеразних мутантах свідчать про те, шр молекулярні механізми регуляції теломерази дуже складні, багаторівневі, взаємозв'язані та скоординовані. Проаналізовано сучасні експериментальні результати та уявлення шрдо регуляції синтезу теломер теломеразою під час клітинного циклу та в ході диференціації, а також молекулярних механізмів, які запезпечують гомеостаз довжини теломер у людини та деяких модельних організмів.
