Abstract
Структурна біоінформатика – це нова галузь молекулярної біології, яка використовує методи
комп'ютерного аналізу для моделювання просторової структури білків і макромолекулярних
комплексів для з'ясування їхніх функцій. Метою структурної біоінформатика є також створення
селективних модуляторів функціональної активності білків як нових лікарських препаратів.
Прогрес структурної біоінформатики обумовлений бурхливим розвитком геноміки – розишфровкою декількох сотень геномів про- та еукаріотних організмів і переходом біології в постгеномну
еру. В огляді розглянуто такі питання, як моделювання просторової структури білків, протеоміка та інтерактоміка, біоінформатика при аналізі транскриптому, молекулярна динаміка
білків, моделювання взаємодій з лігандами, комп'ютерний дизайн лікарських препаратів тощо.
Описано застосування цих підходів при дослідженні тирозил-тРНК синтетази ссавців та
протеази вірусу імунодефіциту людини. Подано інформацію про перший український біоінформаційний web-портал BioUA, який створено для проведення досліджень у галузі геноміки та
структурної біоінформатики.
