Abstract
Melting profiles of DNA fragments of ~1150 b. p. long containing deletions of one, five and six nucleotides have been obtained. It was shown that all these deletions changed the position only of one peak on the DNAs melting profiles. The value of the shift was 0.28±0.3 °C in the case of deletion of one GC and four AT base pairs and it was 0.14+0.03 °C in the case of deletion of one GC-base pair. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis was also used for investigation of these DNA fragments melting. The deletion of one GC-base pair was demonstrated to cause a substational shift of the DNA denaluration profile
