Наведено головні напрями і основні здобутки генетичних і генетико-селекційних досліджень в системі закладів НАН України від часу її заснування (листопад 1918 р.) і до заборони генетичних досліджень та викладання класичної генетики в СРСР у серпні 1948 р. Проаналізовано наукову і науково-організаційну діяльність генетиків і селекціонерів України та їхній внесок у розвиток світової науки.Посилання
