Abstract

In order to investigate antimicrobial activity of more then 300 compounds of the series of isoflavonoids and 4-phenylcoumarins Salmonella typhimurium LT.2, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans were used. Two structural chemical fragments 7-(1-R1-2-R2-1-on-ethyl)-O-4-phenylcoumarin and 2-R4-3-R5-6-R2-8-R3-7-R1 O- chromone possessing antibactericidal and anticandidal effects were determined.
