Abstract
A fragment of DNA that controls the basic phenotypic properties MS2-induced lysis mutants of E. coli 3000, has been cloned as part of a hybrid plasmid. In cells transformed with this plasmid accumulated MS2-specific RNA, indicating that the inclusion of a strong phage genetic material into the cell DNA.
