Abstract

The pBR322 and pBR322ins (a recombinant plasmid carrying human insulin gene) plasmids have been shown to induce the chromosome aberrations both in early periods posttransfection of Chinese hamster established cells and in subsequent cell generations. So it is necessary to test the mutagenic properties of the DNA molecules produced both for genotherapy of human inherited diseases and for solution of other problems.
