Abstract

A decrease of the total protein synthesis in various cell-free systems and a marked increase in the time of «average» polypeptide chain synthesis are found in the case of reversible and irreversible ischcmic damage of the rabbit myocardium. One of the reasons of myocardium protein synthesis decay is established to be functional changes in ribosomes during ischemia.
