Unidirectional orientation of Escherichia coli rplKAJL·rpoBC operon fragments on a multicopy pUC plasmid

Abstract

A series of recombinant pUC plasmids was constructed to determine the functional domains of the regulatory ribosomal L10 protein of Escherichia coli, encoded by the rplJ gene. The possibility and peculiarities of cloning of the E. coli rplKaJL-rpoBC operon fragments caused by an overproduction of ribosomal proteins in pUC were studied.
