Abstract

A method of isolation and purification of site-specific endonuclease of the II type Streptomyces sp. 48 has been worked out. ft has been determined that the Streptomyces sp. 48 lysate contains only one enzyme with site-specific activity. Maximum elution of the endonuclease was made by buffer with ionic strength of 350 mM NaCl. This method provides sufficient purification and concentration of this enzyme with preservation of its specific activity.
