Abstract
The accumulation of mRNA for π and μ isoforms of GT was studied in placenta of women from regions with various degree of radioactive pollution due to Chernobyl disaster. By means of DNA-RNA hybridization it was shown that long living on polluted territory causes the decrease of mRNA content for both GT isoforms but the effect is stronger for GT π representing the main pan of this link of placental cells detoxification system
