An expression of specific RNA in cell cultures with an integrated asRNA genome and their possible correlation with the repression of the BLV reproduction

Abstract

An expression was shown of as-sequences to BLV LTR (region 341–616 n. p.) and to BLV gene X (region 6997–7929 n. p.) in FLK cell culture clones, persistently producing BLV. The detected expression of as-sequences was Found to correspond to the decrease of the RNA-dependent DNA-polymerase activity, to the concentration of the major BLV protein p24 and the production of virions.
