Abstract

There are some reasons for the modern retrovirus vectors to be the most promising ones in genes transfer to mammalian cells. These vectors are intensively studied on different model animals. The first reports of tests of these vectors for the treatment of some hereditary human diseases are expected to appear in the near future.
