Abstract

Vibration spectra of (β-alanine single crystal and polycrystalline films are investigated in the 10–4000 cm–1 range. The methods of infrared reflection and absorption spectroscopy were used. We analysed in detail the structural peculiarities of low frequency bands. Some of these bands were registered for the first time. The assignment of the bands to the intramolecular bonds of atomic groups was made.
