Abstract

The DNase activity and the level of chromatin fragmentation of the rat liver and Guerin's carcinoma nuclei were studied during tumor growth. The decrease in DNase activity of the liver cells nuclei was determined, that can be regarded as a result of the depressing influence of tumor growth on the metabolic active organ investigated. The obtained data show, that the violation of cell death program, characteristic for tumor cells, spreads on the cells of distant organs, which is testified by the suppressed DNase activity of liver cells nuclei.
