Abstract

Radioactive probe of high activity (3.5·109 cpm/μg) specific to mammalian tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase has been synthesized by polymerase chain reaction. Bovine liver cDNA-library has been screened and specific clone has been detected. Sequencing of cDNA insert shows that the done encodes C-terminal part of bovine tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase. C-terminal non-canalytic domain of mammalian tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase shares homology of amino acid sequence with a novel cytokine – endothelial-monocyte activating polypeptide II.
