Abstract

The expression of human low-density lipoprotein receptor (rLDL) was studied in mouse fibroblasts (1-929 line) transformed by the pMSVL recombinant plasmid. This plasmid contains full-length rLDL cDNA and hybrid promoter composed of regulatory elements from early SV40 promoter and glucocorticoid-responsive enhancer of Molony sarcoma virus. The expression of rLDL c DNA in transformed cells was demonstrated using dot and blot RNA-cDNA hybridization as well as immunofluorescent analysis.
