Abstract

In experiments on rats the cytotoxic effects of CCl4 on the mechanism of cells division have been first observed. It was accompanied with changes in 5'-nucleotidase activity and phospho lipid and cholesterol contents in serum and liver cells microsomal fraction during CCl4-induced toxic hepatitis. II was shown that a-tocopherol short-chain derivative (opposite to vitamin E) treatment increased 5'-nucleotidase activity and normalised pliospholipid and cholesterol contents in serum and liver cell microsomal fraction.
