Abstract

The rate of radioactive amino acid incorporation into transnational product in the reconstructed protein-synthesizing cell-free systems, consisting of cytosol and polyribosomes from normal and ischemic myocardium is compared. The alteration in protein-synthesizing activity is shown to depend mainly on the properties of polyribosomal preparations. Electrophoretical analysis of the translations! products with subsequent fluorography has revealed redistribution of some protein fractions in the system from ischemic myocardium.
