Abstract

Nine fragments containing 387 amino acid residues were isolated from product of cyanogen bromide treatment of P. vitale catalase by Sephadex gel-filtration, ion-exchange chromatography, butanol extraction and high-voltage paper electrophoresis. Tryptic, chymotryptic peptides and N-terminal sequence of some P. vitale catalase cyanogen bromide fragments were investigated. Complete and partial amino acid sequences of fragments including 61 and 37 amino acid resudies, respectively, were determined.
