Signaling pathway of transforming growth factor b and its regulation

The review deals with contemporary data concerning structure and function of the ligands, receptors and downstream signaling effectors in the transforming growth factor b (TGFb) signaling pathway. The mechanisms of signal transduction from cellular surface to target genes in the nucleus are discussed, as well as the ways of their regulation and cross-talk with other signaling pathways.
