The mathematical model of the Ca -dependent control of smooth muscle contracting activity is proposed. It is based on the modern ideas relative to the molecular mechanisms of the functioning of the membrane-associated and energy-dependent Ca -transportation systems, localized in the plasmatic membrane, mitochondria and sarcoplasmic reticulum. The phases of contraction and relaxation of muscle, realized simultaneously, are numerically calculated. A role of mitochondria in the Ca -dependent control of contraction is analyzed in detail. The values of some biochemical constants, which characterize the kinetics of the calcium transport into the smooth muscle cell are are defined more precisely.
