Cellular retinol-binding proteins. The properties and functions

Here we report the current data about the properties and functions of two representatives of the retinoid binding protein family — cellular retinol-binding protein type I and type II. Participation of these proteins in the intracellular transport and metabolism of vitamin A are discussed.
