Gene cpn60-J coding one of homologous chaperonins in Rhizobiuin leguminosarum is essential for cell life

Using the method of site specific mutagenesis we have tried to knock-out one of three homologous genes for chaperonins synthesis in Rliizobium leguminosarum bv. viceae. It has been shown that cpn(>()-l gene cannot be destroyed due to its essentiality for cell life.
