In experiments on rats (180—250 g b. w.) influence of a-tocoplierol and its derivative on phospholipids, free, esterified and tolui cholesterol, DPNH-cytochrome c oxidoreductase (complex I—111 of respiratory chain) of liver cell mitochondria membranes during toxic hepatitis have been studied. It was shown that a-tocopherol and its shortchain derivative in dose 10 mg/kg b. w. could normalise contents of phospholipids and cholesterol and activity of DPNH-cytochrome c oxidoreductase during this pathology.
