The cattle sotnatotropin locus polymorphism in local breeds in Ukraine

The polymorphism ofsomatotropin locus with useofPCR in same Ukrainian cattle breeds was investigated. The breed-specific patterns of distribution ofC and D allelic variants ofsomatotropin locus were observed. The level of lieterozygosity ofsomatotropin locus was more high in local breeds (Brown Carpathian, Uk¬rainian Grey), than in wide used Slack and White Holstein.
