Summary
With Southern blot hybridization into a nuclear DNA of the several species of higher plants (Secale cereale, Zea mays, Trilicum qestivum, Solanum nigrum, S. tuberosum, Atropa belladonna, Licopersicon esculentum) the pUC19-homologous repeated DNA sequences are detected. In the genomic DNA of S. cereale and A. belladonna its are clustered. The difference to the pUC-repeats organization and to their copies number between several species and several lines (or generations — S. cereale) of each species is shown. The possibility of using of the pUC-homologous sequences as a marker for somatic hybridization is demonstrated. The possible correlation of the showed facts with plant genome instability is discussed.
