In Vitro Induced Morphogenesis of Walnut
Summary
The ability of apical axillary buds of 15—30 and 1—3 years old walnut trees to morphogenesis in vitro was studied. Adventitious shoot formation was induced on MS- media containing IBA (0,01 mg/1) and 6-BAP (1 mg,/l) after 12 weeks of cultivation (including two subcultivations after 2 and 6 weeks). Propagated shoots were pretreated in liquid MS-medium with IBA (1; 5; 10 mg/1) and sucrose (60 g/1) during 6 days in dark. Rooting of the walnut shoots was achieved on hormone free MS-medium (macro- salts were dissolved 1/4) with agar.
