Structural and Functional Properties of Hemoglobins in Two Fish Species: Cyprinus carpio and Hypophthalmichtys mo-litrix
Summary
Microheterogeneity of hemoglobins in two fish species: C. carpio and H. molitrix has been studied by isoelectrofocusing within the pH gradient of 6:8. Species differences of these hemoglobins are shown in isoelectric spectra and amino acid composition of electrophoretically homogeneous fractions. The affinity to oxygen of hemoglobins fractions has been determined.
