MAGNETICAL DEFOCUSING TIPS FOR INCREASING THRESHOLD SENSITIVITY OF PHOTOELECTRON MULTIPLIERS
Summary
The design of magnetostatical defocusing tips, worked out by the authors, is described. The tips are used for increasing threshold sensitivity of photoelectron multiplier having semitransparent face photocathode due to a decrease in the working diameter of photo-cathode. The data on tests of the device with photoelectron multiplier PEM-130 are represented.
