MALACOSOMA NEUSTRIA NUCLEAR POLYHEDROSIS VIRUS EXPRESSION VECTOR
Summary
The β-galactosidase gene of E. coli was inserted in phase with coding sequence of the Malacoscma neustria nuclear polyhedrosis virus (Mn'NPV) polyhedrin gene. The fusion gene was inserted into the MnNPV genome by cotransfection of recombinant plasmid pMPEA-p gal and wild-type MnNPV DNA. Infection of Antheraea pernyi cells (MCAp-1) by the resulting recombinant MnNPV gal 3 has shown high level of expression of polyhedrin-β-galactosidase fusion protein, no synthesis of polyhedrin being revealed.
