HUMAN INSULIN GENE EXPRESSION IN CULTURED MAMMALIAN CELLS
Summary
Studies of human and mouse fibroblasts have shown a similar dependence between protein product of insulin gene and temporal interval after transforming pBR322ms DNA injection. The level of secreted portein is shown to be significantly higher as against the control 3-10 days after injection and then it considerably decreases. The presence and the functioning of human insulin gene in mammalian fibroblasts increase viabiltiy of cells, that manifests under conditions of medium poor in growth factors.
