AGGLUTINATION OF RAT THYMOCYTES INDUCED BY AGGREGATED CONCANAVALIN A
Summary
The effect of NAD'H, peroxidase and catalase precipitated in the presence of concanavalin A (Con A) on the Con A-induced agglutination of rat thymocytes has been analyzed by the light transmission method. The aggregated Con A causes a considerable acceleration of agglutination compared with the action of native Con A. The rate of thymocyte agglutination depends on Con A-aggregated size. These results testify to the key role of the membrane clusters formation in the provision of Con A-induced cell1 agglutination.
