PARTIAL RESTRICTION OF GENOME EXPRESSION AS A COMPONENT OF ITS WORK IN REGENERATING LIVER OF MAMMALS

Summary

    The synthesis and distribution of RNA in different compartments of hepatocyte were investigated during the prereplicative period in regenerating liver. On the basis of changes in the activity of some DNA sequences the authors discuss the idea of partial restriction of genome expression as a means to save reserves of a cell and to reprogramme its work during the pronounced metabolic transition.
