ORIENTATIONAL EFFECTS CAUSED IN THE pUC PLASMID BY E. COL1 rplJL-rpoBC-OPERON FRAGMENTS
Summary
A number of recombinant pUC plasmids containing E. coil rpUL-rpoBC-operon fragments were constructed. A rplf gene and PL\O promoter containing 1568 bp EcoRI fragment and rplj gene structural part containing BspRl-A-hagment were found to be oriented in pUC plasmids unidirectionally, in such a way that genes rpU of the inserted fragment and lacZ' of the vector were transcribed in the opposite direction.
