CHIMERIC RPOC'- LACZ' GENE OF THE RECOMBINANT PUC19 PLASMID RESERVING THE β-GALACTOSIDASE ACTIVITY IN ESCHER1CHIA COLI CELLS

Summary

A recombinant pUC19/B plasinid was obtained with the pUC19 plasmid and pJC703 cosmid. The inserted pJC703 Bglll-B-hagment codes for rifampicin-resistant E. coli RNA polymerase (3-subunit. The rpoC gene fragment is fused to the vector lacZ' gene providing reservation of the β-galactosidase activity in the recombinant cells as a result of chimeric rpoC'-lacZ' gene formation.
