INHIBITION OF REPLICATIVE DNA SYNTHESIS IN NUCLEI OF SEA URCHIN (STRONGYLOCENTROTUS INTERMWIUM) EMBRYO BY 2', 3'-DIDEOXY-3'-AMINONUCLEOSIDE 5'-TRIPHOSPHATES
Summary
2', 3'-dideoxy-3'-aminonucleoside-5'-triphosphates are shown to be inhibitors of repllcative DNA synthesis in isolated nuclei of sea urchin embryo. These compounds inhibit the fragment Okazaki synthesis. The effect of 2', 3'-dideoxy-3'-aminothymidine 5'-triphosphate and arabinothymidine 5'-triphosphate is reversible when adding the corresponding substrate of DNA synthesis, 2'-deoxy-thymidine-5'-triphosphate.
